Project 5: House and Studio for a Painter
A portrait painter has commissioned you to design a small residence for a family of three along with a detached studio. The house will be located on a corner lot in a new and architecturally undefined neighborhood. The family also requires a detached garage. The owner specifically request that the three major elements, house, garage and studio be architecturally related.

Narrative
A moderately successful painter lost his wife and now raises his two daughters alone in a seclusive, rural area. He loves his girls and enjoys spending time with them watching movies after a long day in the studio. He was once a sociable personality locally known for painting unique and vibrant portraits of his clients' passed love ones; but since windowed, his work has transformed to dark and muted, and his once amicable demeanor has dissolved to reclusive and bitter--except around his girls. He wants his studio to be an extension of his work; a channel to convert his pain onto the canvas. However, he desires his house be a sanctuary away from it; a loving, happy confine he can escape to with his daughters. His girls love spending time with their dad, watching movies in their large living room, and baking cookies.
