Project 5: Student & Faculty Dwellings
This is a comprehensive proposal for student housing in multi-unit dwellings and faculty housing in detached dwellings. The prototype dwelling and comprehensive site plan will establish the highest density possible in accordance with the local zoning ordinances. The prototype design for the student units and the faculty units must support the following activities and qualities of experience for:

Arrival and Entry

Cooking and Dining--breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, occasional guests (1-6)

Sleeping

Storage for Clothes

Toilet and Bathing--as compact as possible

Social and Personal Intimacy for one, two, or several friends inside and outside

Visitability in at least one unit or as required by the International Residential Code
Student Dwellings: Provide multi-unit student dwellings with at least 15 four-student suites and one resident assistant suite per building. The total number of students to be housed is 300. Provide one apartment in the student complex for a residential director.

Faculty Dwellings: The project will result in the design of a prototype dwelling unit with two bedrooms whose maximum size will not exceed 1,500 square feet. Provide sites for at least 25 units.
