Project Two: Gymnasium and Athletic Fields Building Program Response

Goal: Design a response to the program assigned from Project One. The project should result in the schematic design of both the gymnasium facility and the outdoor fields. A placeholder concept will be developed for student housing units on an adjacent site, pending review of the town zoning code. The owner's representative will provide specific information on client contact and management during the briefing to initiate project activity.

Final Submission: All project submissions will be plotted on 36 x 24 inch sheets in black and white using different line weights for distinctive information that conform to the National CAD Standards/CSI Uniform Drawing System. Provide a title block on right edge or bottom edge of the sheet no wider than 2 inches.

Sheet 1: This is the intro sheet. It should have the site plan, the project intentions, and a three dimensional or axonometric image of your project. Provide site plan at 1:50 for immediate area of building as well as a smaller view to get surrounding area as well. Site plans should have graphic scale and north arrow.

Sheet 2: Floor Plan. Provide main plan and have supplemental key plans to explain structural system, exiting, net and gross area, and project data. Main plan should have graphic scale and be scaled 1/8" = 1'. Key plans can be smaller scale to fit.

Sheet 3: Building Section. Provide building section and have a wall section detail at a larger scale. Building section is 1/8" = 1' and wall detail can be 3/4" or 1/2" = 1'. Identify section cuts in the floor plan.

Sheet 4: Main Elevation or Main Interior Elevation. Provide two elevations you wish to prioritize at 1/8" = 1'.

Sheet 5: Axonometric Views. One exterior cut at appropriate scale.
